On a drive by the city lake in Umred, I saw a few kids playing and cleaning this horse. I was told that the owners bring their horses to the lake for a bath, before they decorate and get them ready for a wedding.
If you are not from India and wondering what this is all about, I should let you know that it is customary in Indian communities for the bridegroom to travel to the wedding venue on a mare. It’s also called Baraat (Hindi: बरात) – the bridegrooms wedding procession.
