Formerly a weblog focused on Umred, this blog has transformed to delve into topics that align with my interests.

Caught in the web

Early in the morning, great weather and with the sun just about to show up again – it felt like the perfect time to take a break from work and head out to watch a few birds.

Oct – Feb is the best time for bird watching in Umred, especially if you love migratory birds.

So, I drove by the Shivapur lake here in Umred. I saw a few birds – plum headed parakeet and green bee-eater, commonly found in this region.

Beautiful but not the ones I was searching for. Perhaps, the other kinds are still on their way.

I, however, soon lost focus and started following my old friend – the dragonfly.

Its cousin damsel fly showed up too;

Which led me to something more amazing.

A spider web, covered by morning dew – fascinating enough to make me look for more of these critters and crawlers.

My apologies, if you suffer from arachnophobia or these pictures give you creeps. It wasn’t my plan to shoot spiders. I really was just looking for birds!

In any case – let this be my way of making your Halloween spookier and scarier.

Enjoy!
