There is a reason why I haven’t posted much in the last couple of weeks. Skies full of clouds, inadequate sunlight and frequent showers have kept me and my camera indoors. It’s the monsoon season in Umred.
Rain, however, hasn’t dampened my spirits yet. I have been noticing people and their more frequent smiles and jovial atmosphere. The temperature has dropped from a maximum of +49 Celsius to a minimum of +25 within a week (approx.).
Weather can have such an effect on people and their disposition.
While my friends on the other side of the world are delighted for the sun, summer, barbecues and bikes, people here are happy to get a break from the same sun and enjoy their hot chai and samosas in the rain. It seems like the “weather gods” are generally more kind to everyone, in most places during this time of the year.
